Most of our websites are powered by 100% wind energy; we are proud that the machines hosting our Web site and e-mail are fully eco-friendly! As energy awareness continues to grow, people are not just looking to make lifestyle adjustments, they want to make environmentally responsible decisions, OutsiderInternet is powered by renewable energy.

We are making the effort and helping our clients to be eco-conscious. This initiative isn't a marketing ploy; we encourage responsible environmental practices inside the office and practice them outside the office and we know that many of our clients feel just as strongly.

Eat in North Devon

French oysters are the finest you will ever eat. Likewise French web design is some of the best around.

However we are based in the UK and we have good sea food too (we are on the North Devon Coast) and we also design good sites.

North Devon Web can guide you through the conception, birth pangs and sustainability of your web presence, we can optimise your site for search engines and submit them to the major players. We use a combination of automated and human processes to help you towards achieving world domination. We can also recommend some good restaurants in our area.

Having an environmentally-friendly site is a great accomplishment and a great selling point. Let your site visitors know your site has gone green by letting us build you a low carbon web site. Read more...

Photograph taken on a trip to Brittany in 2010 to the Cancale Oyster Farm

History has it that Louis XIV had his oysters brought to Versailles from Cancale. Centuries later, the farming of oysters is still a major activity in the port and there are oyster beds covering about 7.3 square kilometers easily seen from the pier at the harbor. These beds harvest about 25,000 tons of oysters each year.

Maybe Summer came early?

I can recommend going to 11 The Quay in Ilfracombe, North Devon. The restaurant has been re-opened with a new menu, redecorated and has several new priceless artworks on the walls. Great food - great art.

Number 11 The Quay was formally known as The White Hart. For over a hundred years it was the most popular Inn on the harbour, and for many years, it was run by the Barbeary family. The White Hart ceased trading in the 1980's when the landlord and brewery relocated to 'The Pier' pub; which, being all on one level, was far more practical for delivery and the storage of ale. Damien Hirst aquired Number 11 the Quay in 1999, with the idea of restoring it to accommodate an international calibre restaurant.

Twitter Post Veronica Henry - And now to Number Eleven The Quay, my friends' restaurant in Ilfracombe, which re- opens tonight for the summer.New menu, new chef, new art!
